Grassroots support is crucial to our organization and an important part of our mission. With the real estate market rapidly heating up again, and a strong job economy attracting job seekers from all over the world, we need to create more opportunities for lower income residents to be able to continue living in San Francisco, now more than ever.
As a small organization, every member and every dollar counts towards helping us reach our goals. Your continued support as a member will enable us to create more resident-owned housing cooperatives. We are at an exciting point in our organization's growth and would love for you to build with us as a supporting member.
As a member of SFCLT you can vote for our Board, serve on a committee and also enjoy several great member benefits. Individual membership is only $24 a year; Organizational membership is $80 a year. Any additional donation above the membership level is tax deductible. We have discounts for all our members at other cooperatively owned and operated businesses in San Francisco, such as Modern Times Bookstore and City Car Share.
To join or renew your membership you can click on the "Memberships" button at the top.
We thank you for your continued support!
TITLE: Operations Manager
REPORTS TO: Organizational Director
STATUS: 100% FTE (40 hours/week)
SFCLT is a membership based organization whose mission is to preserve and create permanently affordable, resident-controlled housing for low- to moderate-income people in San Francisco through community ownership of the land. We do this by acquiring apartment buildings in which long-time tenants are at risk of eviction and convert them into resident-owned cooperatives. Currently SFCLT has a portfolio of eight properties that is rapidly expanding. The Operations Manager works closely with the Organizational Director to build and maintain a strong, well-functioning, community-based organization. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing our member services, education program, fundraising and grant management. Other duties include supervising the Program Assistant and Bookkeeper, coordinating volunteers and general administrative work as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, will be passionate about the organization's mission, and experienced in adult education and training. This position requires someone who is able to self-manage and self-organized. The Operations Manager is hired by and reports to the Organizational Director.
