Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee organizes and responds to significant issues that face green buildings around the state and within the Inland Empire region. They promote awareness and provide resources and knowledge to local municipalities, governmental groups, institutions and other sectors of industry. The committee works with the USGBC National office as well as the Pacific Regional Council (PRC) to respond and focus on California state issues.

MEETS: Monthly via conference call on the 3rd Friday of every month at 10:00 a.m.

Education Committee

The Education Committee supports local and state efforts to raise public awareness about green building, increase technical knowledge of green, facilitate the accreditation of LEED professionals and accelerate the certification of LEED projects in the Inland Empire region.

MEETS: Monthly via conference call on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m.

Emerging Professionals Committee

Emerging Professionals (EP, formally Emerging Green Builders, EGB) is a committee created to serve the interests of students and those new to the profession. Emerging Professionals provide networking opportunities as well as fun and educational events.

Green Homes Committee

The Green Homes Committee was formed to be a resource for Inland Empire residents for information about green, sustainable homes.  The GH Committee will serve as an advocate for green homes and provide information about rating systems for green homes including LEED for Homes as well as other residential green rating systems.  The GH Committee will hold events for the public to show examples of green home construction and remodeling.

Green Schools Committee

The Green Schools Committee consists of individuals interested in fostering greener, higher performance schools. It is a diverse volunteer based committee comprised of Architects, Engineers, Attorneys, Contractors, Faculty, Parents, Teachers and Students.

MEETS: Monthly via conference call on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is tasked with developing tools and activities that assist in the recruitment and retention of local USGBC members.  This group is responsible for orienting new members to the activities of the Chapter while also developing benefit programs and membership add-ons to promote participation.

Programs & Events Committee

This active committee develops and plans informational educational and networking programs for the Chapter.  With a focus on our monthly membership events, the group works to provide programming that reflects the mission and current goals of the Chapter.
